This Project was created to guide both professors and college students in accesing the Siemens Xcelerator Academy site.
I created a Camtasia walk through and job aid to help higher education students navigate the Siemens Xcelerator Academy Certification platform. I also created new visual learning maps to guide students in finding the correct courses for their certificate program.
I created a project plan describing the basics of the project including roles, deliverables, scope, implementation, risks, and success metrics.
I created learning objectives and a a task analysis walking through all of the steps students would need to perform to successfully register for and take their certification courses and exams. I also collected all of the existing related content to verify we were not duplicating any effort, and see what needed to be improved or replaced.
I created the Camtasia video by creating a rough script following the task analysis. The job aid was also written to reflect all of the steps in the task analysis. I created the job aid and the learning maps in PowerPoint - the company this was created with does not provide access to Illustrator or other design tools outside of Microsoft Office.
Content was provided to professors along side their certification exam access codes.
We followed up with professors after they had a chance to use the new guides and verified that their students were able to successfully access their courses 100% of the time. No difficulties were reported.
